On March 9, the Nansha District government in Guangzhou announced a live-streamed recruitment event that gathered more than 2,000 high-quality job opportunities. The initiative aims to precisely match the employment needs of Nansha's trillion-yuan industrial sectors and bolster talent acquisition for the district's high-quality development.

The event, titled "Family-Supporting Job Offers—Trade Union Employment Service Action: Union Chairperson Live Recruitment," was organized by the Nansha District Trade Union. It combined online live streaming with offline specialized recruitment sessions, featuring over 2,000 positions across sectors such as shipbuilding, education, state-owned asset management, and cultural tourism. The approach leveraged the advantages of cloud-based recruitment—breaking time and space constraints, enabling efficient information delivery, and facilitating precise matching—allowing job seekers to connect with Nansha's leading enterprises and roles from home.

Meng Ziqiang, Deputy Director of the Nansha District People's Congress Standing Committee and Chairperson of the District Trade Union, participated in the live broadcast. He outlined employment opportunities and promoted quality positions in line with Nansha's industrial development plan for 2026. "The union’s role is to serve as a facilitator, creating a platform for companies to present opportunities and empowering job seekers to make informed choices," he emphasized.

During the live session, employers showcased job requirements, salary packages, and career prospects through live presentations and promotional videos. A one-click resume submission feature was also activated, enabling candidates to apply for roles seamlessly and efficiently.

"The timing of this live recruitment event couldn’t be better," said Wang Jiaxin, Recruitment Manager at Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation. "As we transition toward high-value-added ship models, there is an urgent need for specialized technical talent. The union helped us refine our job descriptions and used the 'Workers’ Home' app to target suitable candidates—we received numerous high-quality resumes even before the live session ended."

Guangzhou Shipyard International offered over ten spring recruitment positions, including roles for senior engineers and ship R&D designers. Li Boyang, Deputy General Manager of Human Resources at Guangzhou Nansha Asset Management Group, noted that his company listed more than ten openings in operations, investment promotion, tourism management, finance, and human resources.

In addition to the online activities, the offline recruitment fair focused on addressing key enterprises' staffing needs. It featured leading companies from manufacturing, commercial services, information technology, logistics, and express delivery sectors. The fair was organized into five specialized zones—high-tech, modern services, advanced manufacturing, logistics and trade, and gig economy—to help job seekers compare opportunities within their industries and achieve better matches.

A total of 40 enterprises participated in the offline event, offering 1,440 positions. These ranged from emerging roles such as algorithm engineers and big data developers to foundational positions like customer service and sales representatives, catering to job seekers at different career levels.

The Nansha District Trade Union stated that it will continue to strengthen collaboration between government and enterprises and conduct diverse employment service activities on a regular basis. These efforts are designed to precisely align corporate recruitment needs with job seekers' employment aspirations.
