Kuaishou Technology buys back 1.17 million Class B shares for HK$49.95 million, cumulative pending-cancellation reaches 3.60 million shares

Kuaishou Technology (KUAISHOU-W) disclosed a fresh share repurchase on 3 July 2026, acquiring 1.17 million Class B weighted-voting-rights (WVR) ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices between HK$42.56 and HK$43.30. The outlay totalled HK$49.95 million, translating to a volume-weighted average price of HK$42.88 per share. The buyback represents 0.0269% of the company’s 4.33 billion issued shares (combined A and B classes) outstanding as at 18 June 2026.

Including repurchases executed on 16 June (1.80 million shares at HK$44.38) and 18 June (0.64 million shares at HK$47.21), the aggregate number of Class B shares bought back but not yet cancelled has reached 3.60 million, or 0.0832% of shares in issue. All repurchased shares are designated for cancellation.

The transactions were carried out under the general repurchase mandate approved by shareholders on 25 June 2026, which authorises the company to buy back up to 432.69 million shares. To date, 1.17 million shares—0.03% of the mandate—have been used. Under Hong Kong listing rules, Kuaishou is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until 2 August 2026, 30 days after the latest repurchase.

The company’s issued share capital remains unchanged at 3.66 billion Class B shares and 0 treasury shares pending formal cancellation of the repurchased stock.
