The 18th West Lake Pharmaceutical Conference (Health Industry Ecological Conference) was held from August 16 to 21 in Boao, Hainan, with the theme "Rapid Transformation, Navigating New Cycles - Reconstruction of Growth Momentum and Industrial Ecosystem Evolution." Wang Xiaochuan, founder and CEO of Baichuan Intelligence, attended and delivered a speech.
Wang Xiaochuan mentioned that 2016 witnessed two significant events. The first was AlphaGo, when machines provided humanity with an AI education in the field of Go. The second was the Wei Zexi incident, which represented a collision between the medical industry and the internet, causing Baidu to face substantial scrutiny.
"Actually, speaking jokingly, Baidu remains China's largest medical and health service institution to this day. According to the data I researched, serious medical treatments occur in hospitals 8 billion times per year in China, while Baidu receives 400 million visits per day," Wang Xiaochuan said.
The conference focused on industry transformation and the reconstruction of growth drivers in the health sector, bringing together key figures to discuss the evolution of the healthcare ecosystem.
