Tetra Tech Secures $25 Million EPA Contract for Water Quality Monitoring

Tetra Tech (Nasdaq: TTEK) has announced the receipt of a five-year contract valued at $25 million from the Standards and Health Protection Division of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Water.

The contract is for the provision of high-end technical services aimed at assessing and managing risks to human health and aquatic ecosystems.

Under the terms of the agreement, the company's scientists and technical specialists will assist the EPA, states, and communities in achieving and maintaining clean water resources to ensure safe drinking water and support fisheries and recreational water use.

Specific tasks will include providing risk assessments, advanced data analysis, and economic analysis to support the development of water quality standards.

Work will also involve monitoring chemical contaminants in fish and microbial pathogens in surface water to inform prevention and remediation strategies.

Additionally, Tetra Tech will develop public engagement methods, technical guidance, and conduct workshops to facilitate community input and knowledge sharing with state and local governments.
