XPeng Stock Drops 5% Although P7+ Electric Sedan Reaches 50,000th Production Milestone 5 Months After Launch

XPeng saw the 50,000th unit of the P7+ roll off the assembly line, about 5 months after the launch of the mid-to-large-size electric sedan.

The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker shared the development on Weibo today, representing a milestone for one of its best-selling models.

XPeng launched the P7+ on November 7, 2024, when it was offered in three variants with starting prices of RMB 186,800 ($25,670), RMB 198,800, and RMB 218,800 respectively.

Meanwhile, XPeng will debut a new electric sedan as early as next week, further diversifying its sedan lineup, CnEVPost has learned from a reliable source.

The new sedan, internally codenamed E29, will have a powerful powertrain as one of its main selling points, according to the source.

XPeng's sedans currently on sale are the Mona M03, P7+ and P7i, with the Mona M03 and P7+ being the main sellers.

While U.S. shares of XPeng dropped 5% in morning trading.
