According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the top ten automakers by sales volume sold a combined 17.131 million vehicles during the January-August 2026 period, representing 84.3% of the country's total automobile sales.
Compared to the same period last year, four of these ten companies reported sales growth, including Geely Holding, Chery Holding, Guangzhou Automobile Group, and Great Wall Motor. In contrast, the remaining six companies experienced varying degrees of sales decline during the same timeframe.
