On October 16-18, 2025, the Sustainable Global Leaders Conference was held at the Expo Park in Huangpu District, Shanghai. Wang Li, General Manager of Kweichow Moutai Brewery (Group) Co., Ltd. and Deputy General Manager of Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd., attended and delivered a speech.

Wang Li introduced Moutai's innovative exploration into new industrial tracks. She stated that for Moutai’s sustainable development, maintaining a solid foundation in the liquor industry is essential, while cultivating and developing new productive forces and laying out the second growth curve is key.

In recent years, Moutai has actively explored sustainable growth drivers based on its advantageous resources and industrial demands, focusing on biotechnology.

"Currently, biomanufacturing has progressed from the 1.0 era to the 5.0 era, with advancements in synthetic biology and AI providing support for the industrial application of biological resources. We are exploring the research of enabling technologies such as constructing high-tolerance chassis cells and intelligent design of synthetic pathways, laying a scientific foundation for the development of biomanufacturing. We are also advancing carbon capture, carbon neutrality, and key technologies to promote emissions reduction across the entire industry chain. At the same time, we are expanding into new materials from natural products and functional foods, constantly broadening our industrial boundaries," Wang Li stated.

Furthermore, Wang Li mentioned that Moutai is exploring the layout of the digital technology industry in response to industrial demands. "The wave of digitalization is unstoppable and a dominant trend. In recent years, Moutai has systematically promoted the application of digital technology in supply, consumption, and foundational scenarios, constantly enhancing the industry's digital level. We are also proactively exploring through technology introduction and model innovation, gradually forming capabilities in product operation, user operation, and digital operation, creating new business models that bridge traditional industries with the digital economy to unlock future growth drivers for Moutai."
