Jinchuan Group International Resources Co. Ltd (Jinchuan Int’l Resources) released a supplemental announcement detailing additional procedures completed by its independent forensic accountant and confirmed that share trading will stay halted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The forensic accountant carried out three further steps after the 20 May 2026 Forensic Report: (1) a comprehensive search of custodian data to map communication channels between Ruashi Mine management and the listed company, (2) follow-up interviews with current and former managers, and (3) additional analysis of payments to Third-Party Agent GFS. Although direct documentary proof of GFS’s services remains insufficient, the investigator noted a marked decline in government claims and penalties at Ruashi Mine after the payments, aligning with common industry practices in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Special Investigation Committee (SIC) reiterated that investigative avenues have been exhausted and considers the work adequate to reveal root causes—namely employee misconduct at Ruashi Mine and internal-control deficiencies. Management has implemented the remedial measures proposed by both the forensic accountant and an external control consultant.

Trading in Jinchuan Int’l Resources’ shares has been suspended since 28 March 2025 and will remain so until further notice. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
