HUTCHTEL HK (Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings) released its 2026 interim results. Total revenue from Hong Kong operations reached HK$2.85 billion, up 32% year-on-year, driven by a HK$980 million hardware contribution and a 25% jump in roaming service income.

Net customer service revenue grew 6% to HK$1.87 billion, while net customer service margin slipped to 74% from 83% as lower-margin streams expanded. EBITDA from Hong Kong operations held steady at HK$763 million; EBIT edged up 6% to HK$18 million as depreciation and amortisation eased.

Operating metrics showed the customer base at 3.23 million with 5G penetration at 64% (1H 2025: 57%). Monthly postpaid churn remained low at 0.9%, though postpaid net ARPU declined 2% to HK$173.

Cash and bank balances were HK$3.75 billion at end-June; capital expenditure was controlled at HK$169 million, 9% of net customer service revenue.

The Board declared an unchanged interim dividend of 2.28 HK cents per share, payable on 16 September 2026 to shareholders on record 7 September 2026.

Management signalled continued emphasis on cost discipline, AI-driven service expansion and diversification to support profitability in a cautiously improving Hong Kong economy.
