CONANT OPTICAL (02276) saw its shares climb more than 5% in late morning trading. At the time of writing, the stock had gained 5.37% to HK$42.76, with a trading turnover of HK$29.75 million.
The price movement follows the company's official unveiling ceremony for its Qidong production base in Jiangsu Province on September 12. The wholly-owned subsidiary formerly known as Jiangsu Lantian Glasses Co., Ltd. has been renamed Jiangsu Conant Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., completing both business registration changes and a strategic repositioning. The subsidiary will now focus exclusively on the emerging smart eyewear segment.
According to the company, the upgrade of the Jiangsu facility represents a key step in refining its core manufacturing network and strengthening high-end delivery capabilities. The Qidong base has already initiated plant renovation work while simultaneously advancing the phase two and phase three production line upgrade projects for XR technology. Construction of specialized precision machining lines for XR lenses is progressing steadily, which will continue to support product process validation and production ramp-up efforts, ultimately enhancing the company's ability to deliver premium products to its clients.
