Starting April 14, Wenzhou's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Route B1 has been optimized to begin operations at the S1 Huimin Road Station, marking a further upgrade in the integration of Wenzhou's rail transit and ground bus networks. This adjustment will significantly enhance travel efficiency for residents along key urban corridors such as Wangjiang Road, Baili Road, Jiangbin Road, and Chezhan Avenue, continuously improving their commuting experience and satisfaction.
Following the adjustment, the operating hours for BRT Route B1 have been clearly defined: the first bus departs from the South Railway Station Bus Hub at 6:00, with the last bus at 23:10; from S1 Huimin Road Station, the first bus is at 5:50 and the last at 23:00. The route starts from the South Railway Station Bus Hub, passing through stops including Wenqu East Road Intersection, Shuangyu Hub, Guanghua Bridge Intersection, the Municipal Trade Union at Xinhe Street, the Central Hospital at Jiefang Street, Jiangbin West Road Intersection, Xueyuan Road Intersection, and Jinxiu Road Intersection, before reaching its final destination at S1 Huimin Road Station. The route configuration in both directions is clear and comprehensively covers core sections of the central urban area.
To further streamline transfers and address the "last kilometer" challenge, Wenzhou Rail Transit has precisely optimized travel services. It has fully upgraded the transportation connection signage at S1 Huimin Road Station and put into operation the city's first fully enclosed weather-protected corridor for transfers between the rail system and public buses. This officially inaugurates a new phase of seamless "rail + BRT" integration in Wenzhou.
The sheltered corridor is located at Exit 3 of S1 Huimin Road Station, integrating functions for taxi pick-up/drop-off, ride-hailing vehicle pick-up, and bus boarding/alighting. The taxi waiting area can accommodate 15 vehicles queuing simultaneously, allowing passengers to board immediately upon exiting the station within the corridor. The designated ride-hailing pick-up point has undergone unified location adjustments across all platforms, enabling passengers to wait in a fixed area after booking a ride, eliminating the previous inconvenience of searching for vehicles.
The bus transfer area features two bus boarding/alighting points equipped with platform screen doors synchronized with bus arrivals, ensuring separation of pedestrians and vehicles and fully safeguarding passenger safety during waiting and boarding. In addition to the newly connected BRT Route B1, existing bus routes 43, 64, 123, and B202, which originally started from Huimin Road Station, remain unchanged to meet diverse passenger travel needs.
Passengers are reminded that the main urban area has already achieved information and payment interoperability between the rail and bus networks. Travelers can check bus information via the "Wenzhou Rail Transit" app or its WeChat mini-program, and view rail transit information through the "Changxing Wenzhou" app or its WeChat mini-program, allowing quick access to real-time updates for S1 Line services and nearby bus routes. For payments, a unified QR code facilitates seamless transfers between rail transit and city buses, usable via the "Transportation Travel Code" in either the Wenzhou Rail Transit or Changxing Wenzhou apps.
