BE Environment (00154) announced that the company formed an unincorporated joint venture with two construction companies from mainland China and Hong Kong on October 10, 2025. The joint venture has submitted a tender for the Integrated Waste Management Facility Phase 2 contract (Contract No. EP/SP/312/24) issued by the Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
I·PARK 2 advances the Hong Kong government's various waste reduction and recycling initiatives, contributing to achieving the "zero landfill" and carbon neutrality targets outlined in "Hong Kong's Waste Blueprint 2035" and "Hong Kong's Climate Action Blueprint 2050."
The contract scope includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of I·PARK 2 located at the Central Ash Lagoon in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun. The incineration facility is designed to process 6,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste per day.
The contract is expected to commence in early 2026 and includes 15 years of operation and maintenance services in addition to the design and construction works.
