Shares of Waitr Holdings Inc. opened 15% higher at 30 cents on Tuesday after the company said its ASAP brand had entered into a partnership with the food delivery search engine FoodBoss.
The delivery company, which recently rebranded to ASAP from Waitr, said the agreement would immediately boost ASAP's accessibility to new restaurant brands and its ability to reach new customers.
FoodBoss operates a search engine that allows users to see every food delivery and pickup option for any restaurant, while ASAP offers on-demand delivery for a wide range of products, from food to auto parts.
"This alliance with FoodBoss helps us expand into new markets more efficiently than ever before as we grow our newly branded ASAP delivery platform," said Chief Executive Carl Grimstad.
