BBX Minerals (BBX) has received assays from two reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled under its 2017 drilling program at the Três Estados project in Brazil.

In October 2017, the company completed its RC drilling program at the Três Estados and Ema prospects with 25 holes drilled across both.

All holes intersected soil and saprolite followed by fresh gabbro with a thicker than anticipated weathering profile encountered at both projects.

Results have now been received from holes TERC 009 and TERC 010 with both intersecting significant platinum, iridium and local rhodium mineralisation.

Better results came from TERC 010 which intersected two metres at 4.74 grams per tonne (g/t) 5E platinum group metals (PGMs) (3.65 g/t platinum, 0.89 g/t iridium and 0.2 g/t rhodium) from 18 metres.

Results from TERC 009 include five metres at 1.24 g/t 5E PGM (0.9 g/t platinum, 0.37 g/t iridium and 0.08 g/t rhodium) from 40 metres including one metre at 3.04 g/t 5E PGM (2.14 g/t platinum, 0.7 g/t iridium and 0.2 g/t rhodium) from 44 metres.

Shares in BBX were down 3.9 per cent on the market and were trading at 8 cents at 2:17 pm AEST.
