Shares of blank-check company Cartesian Growth Corp., which traded in a narrow range just below $10 for most of the year, peaked at $28.49 on Wednesday.
Shares were up 9% to $11.10, and were briefly paused due to volatility at least six times Wednesday.
Cartesian stockholders are scheduled to vote Thursday on the company's merger with the financial asset management firms Tiedemann Group and Alvarium Investments.
