Cooper Energy Completes BMG Wells Decommissioning
Cooper Energy (ASX:COE) completed the Basker Manta Gummy wells decommissioning program, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
The program abandoned the final well, and the Helix Q7000 vessel departed from the BMG site. The final cost is still expected to be in the upper end of the mid-case estimated range of AU$240 million to AU$280 million, the company said.
Meanwhile, the company continues to pursue a claim in the Supreme Court of Victoria against Indonesian enterprise PT Pertamina Hulu Energi for the latter's 10% share of the decommissioning costs, according to the filing.
