Emperor Energy (ASX:EMP) extended its memorandum of understanding with Cooper Energy (ASX:COE) regarding the potential utilization of the latter's Orbost gas processing plant on the coast of Bass Strait in southeast Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The MoU aims to explore collaboration opportunities that would enable the transfer of gas from the Judith gas field, which is within Emperor Energy's Vic/P47 exploration permit, the filing said. The extension opens for further discussions between Emperor Energy and Cooper Energy.
