Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Start Week Higher in Monday Trading
Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts kicked off the week moving higher Monday morning, rising 0.90% to 1,975.76 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy (DQ) and wealth management firm Noah (NOAH), which climbed 13% and 7.2%, respectively. They were followed by online education platform 51Talk Online Education Group (COE) and mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile (JG), which increased 6.4% and 5.5%, respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by media company Phoenix New Media (FENG), which fell 8.4% and e-commerce fashion platform MOGU (MOGU), which retreated 5.7%. Online entertainment provider iQIYI (IQ) was down 5.6% and brand platform 36Kr (KRKR) retreated 5.4%.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which rose 2.2%, followed by financial services company HDFC Bank (HDB) and business process management company WNS (WNS), which were up 1.9% and 0.4%, respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals (ASLN) and IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY), which lost 14% and 3.3%, respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and IT firm Wipro (WIT), which were down 2.8% and 2.5%, respectively.
