Singapore Shares Close Higher; Nordic Group Climbs 4%

Singapore's stock market inched up on Tuesday, mirroring overnight gains in the global markets following strong performance on Wall Street as investors await earnings from US retailers.

The Straits Times Index (STI), a key benchmark for the Singapore Exchange, ranged between 3,352.34 and 3,380.64 throughout the day. It ended the session at 3,370.31, up 14.75 points or 0.44% compared to Monday's close.

In company news, shares of Nordic Group (SGX:MR7) rose over 4% after the company secured SG$32.6 million worth of contracts.

Shares of Soilbuild Construction Group (SGX:S7P) were up over 2% after the company was awarded contracts worth SG$69.6 million.

Meanwhile, GKE (SGX:595) was down nearly 3% after the company bought back 100,000 shares in the open market for SG$7,294 or SG$0.07247 apiece.
