King Long Motor's Bus Sales Slip 5% in August; Shares Slump 10%

Xiamen King Long Motor Group's (SHA:600686) number of sold buses in August slipped 4.5% year on year to 3,296 units from 3,450 units, a Saturday filing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange said.

The Chinese automotive company produced 3,473 buses during the month, climbing 5.9% from 3,279 buses manufactured a year earlier.

Between January and August, bus sales jumped 15.3% year on year to 29,029 units and bus output rose 8.5% to 29,548 units, the filing added.

Shares of the company slumped nearly 10% in recent trade.
