Shandong Cynda Chemical's (SHA:603086) unit, Liaoning Xianda Agricultural Science, received approval to register and market its herbicide, Quinazole, according to a Monday filing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The product can be used to mitigate weeds in rice fields.

The certificate is valid until Sept. 17, 2029, the Chinese agro-chemical products manufacturer said.

Shares of the company jumped more than 6% in recent trade.
