NewMarket Names Timothy Fitzgerald as CFO

NewMarket named Timothy Fitzgerald as its vice president and chief financial officer, effective Jan. 1.

Fitzgerald succeeds William Skrobacz, who plans to step down from the role as vice president and top finance executive, effective Dec. 31, ahead of his retirement next year, the Richmond, Va., chemicals holding company said Thursday.

Fitzgerald, 47 years old, most recently served as treasurer and finance director. He joined the company about 10 years ago and has over 20 years of finance and accounting experience.

Also on Thursday, NewMarket appointed Gail Ridgeway as treasurer, succeeding Fitzgerald. In turn, Ann Pietrantoni will succeed Ridgeway as principal accounting officer and controller. Both appointments are also effective Jan. 1.
