Marmota (ASX:MEU) uncovered gold from a recent drill program at the Aurora Tank deposit in South Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The program extended known mineralization at the deposit, with yields of up to 8 meters at 20.6 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 32 meters, including 4 meters at 36.9 g/t gold from 32 meters, the miner said in the filing.

Marmota's shares rose almost 6% at market close on Wednesday.
