VeriSilicon Microelectronics (Shanghai) (SHA:688521) expects to record attributable loss amounting to 111.1 million yuan in the third quarter of the year, narrowing from the year-ago loss of 156.4 million yuan, according to a Monday disclosure on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The Chinese chip designer's operating income is expected to jump 23.6% year on year to almost 718 million yuan from 580.9 million yuan, the disclosure said.

Shares of the company jumped 5% in recent trade.
