Nanoveu (ASX:NVU) said benchmark testing began for the ECS-DOT System-on-a-Chip semiconductor technology, developed by Embedded A.I. Systems, which is set to be acquired by the company, according to a Friday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.

The tests will evaluate two artificial intelligence-driven tasks, person detection, and image classification, to support the planned integration of the ECS-DOT chipset into the company's EyeFly3D image conversion platform, the filing said.

Nanoveu shares rose 11% in afternoon trade.
