TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto has arrived at the Parliament (MPR) Complex, Senayan, South Jakarta to attend his inauguration ceremony this morning, on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Based on Tempo's observation, the General Chair of the Gerindra Party arrived at the parliamentary area at 09:06 AM local time. The car carrying Prabowo entered through the VVIP lane at the main entrance of the DPR-MPR building.

Prabowo is attending the inauguration accompanied by his family, including his son, Didit Prabowo, and his ex-wife, Titik Soeharto.

They departed from his former Defense Minister's residence using a white Alphard with a red license plate adorned with car decorations, leaving Kertanegara around 08:58 AM local time.

Today, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be inaugurated as the President and Vice President for the 2024-2029 period at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex Senayan, Jakarta.

The People's Consultative Assembly or MPR as the organizer of the inauguration has conducted a rehearsal for the event. The ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM, starting with the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and a plenary session opened by the Chair of MPR, Ahmad Muzani. This will then be followed by the reading of the decision by the Chairperson of the General Election Commission (KPU).

Subsequently, the agenda will proceed to the oath-taking by the President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period. After the signing of the official record, the President will deliver his inaugural speech.
