Shanxi Coal International Energy (SHA:600546) posted third-quarter net profit attributable to shareholders of 791.1 million yuan, down 14% from 915.2 million yuan the previous year.
Earnings per share slid 13% year over year to 0.40 yuan from 0.46 yuan, according to an Oct. 24 filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The coal miner's Q3 revenue declined 3.8% to 7.91 billion yuan from 8.22 billion yuan.
Shares of Shanxi Coal International Energy rose 5% in recent trade.
