Hong Kong Economic Times Holdings (HKG:0423) expects a loss attributable to owners of about HK$34 million yuan for the six months ended Sept. 30, compared to HK$20 million for the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The company attributed the increase in loss to the decrease in revenue as a result of the sluggish local advertising market and the weak economic environment and market sentiment.
The company plans to publish its interim result by the end of November.
The media business company's shares were down over 2% in the recent trading.
