Singapore Airlines (SGX:C6L) said the merger of Vistara with Air India has been completed, with Singapore Airlines now holding a 25.1% stake in the enlarged Air India, according to a Tuesday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
Vistara is no longer an associated company of Singapore Airlines following the merger. The Singapore-based airline company previously owned 49% of Vistara.
Singapore Airlines will proceed with a reduced capital injection of SG$498 million. The amount will not affect Singapore Airlines' 25.1% stake, and the funding will come from Singapore Airlines' internal cash resources.
