Veeko International (HKG:1173) expects to record a loss between HK$45 million and HK$53 million for the six months ended Sept. 30, wider than HK$864,000 for the same period last year, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The apparel products company attributed the expected increase to a decline in turnover from cosmetics and fashion segments, recorded exchange loss during the period compared with exchange gain a year ago, and an impairment loss during the reporting period among other factors.
