AUO Corp. (TPE:2409) said it will spin off its Mobility Solution Business Group and BHTC into a new unit named AUO Mobility Solution.
AUO Mobility Solution will enhance the company's smart mobility business, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Under the spin-off, AUO will issue new AUO Mobility Solution shares, valued at NT$19.3 billion, for its Taiwan operations, and 1.6 billion yuan for China operations.
The new unit will operate independently from Jan. 1, 2026, the optoelectronic solutions provider noted.
