Academy Sports and Outdoors (ASO) reported fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $0.98 per diluted share, down from $1.38 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.28.

Net sales for the quarter ended Nov. 2 were $1.34 billion, down from $1.40 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.39 billion.

The company said it now expects fiscal 2024 adjusted EPS of $5.80 to $6.10, compared with its prior guidance of between $5.75 and $6.50. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $6.23.

Net sales for the fiscal year are now projected to be between $5.90 billion and $5.94 billion, compared with an earlier forecast of $5.90 billion to $6.08 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $6.03 billion.

Shares of the company were down 4.2% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
