Kosmos Energy Shares Down After Tullow Deal Talks Disclosed

Kosmos Energy shares fell to a 52-week low on news of a possible Kosmos all-share offer to buy Tullow Oil.

The stock was recently down 15% to $3.16 and is down about 52% this year. The intraday low was $3.13.

London-based Tullow said it noted recent media speculation and said it was in preliminary discussions with Kosmos. Later Thursday, Kosmos said the parties were in "very preliminary discussions."
