Ameris Bancorp Increases Quarterly Dividend to 20 Cents

Ameris Bancorp raised its quarterly dividend 33.3%.

The Atlanta-based bank company said Wednesday that its board of directors increased the cash dividend to 20 cents a share, up from 15 cents a share in the previous quarter.

The new payout, equal to 80 cents a year, represents an annual yield of about 1.3% based on Wednesday's closing price of $62.08.

The dividend will be payable on Jan. 6, Ameris Bancorp said.
