Marubeni Corp. (TYO:8002), Banpu NEXT and Fuyo General Lease (TYO:8424) will establish PrimeMobility, a joint venture to provide fleet management services for commercial electric vehicles in Thailand, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Set to launch in January 2025, the JV will cover EV procurement, charging, maintenance, and re-procurement.
Thailand's EV market is growing, with the government targeting 30% EV production by 2030. Marubeni, Banpu NEXT, and Fuyo Lease will leverage their expertise in mobility, renewable energy, and leasing to support this shift, aiming to promote a sustainable, decarbonized society.
