OraSure Technologies (OSUR) said late Thursday it acquired diagnostic health company Sherlock Biosciences.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

This acquisition enhances OraSure's innovation pipeline by adding Sherlock's molecular diagnostics platform, which delivers results with sensitivity and specificity in a disposable format ideal for over-the-counter use, the company said.

Shares of OraSure were up 4% in after-hours activity.
