The Times

- American activist investor Saba Capital has launched a campaign to remove the boards of seven UK-listed investment trusts, including three Baillie Gifford trusts, two Janus Henderson trusts, CQS Natural Resources Growth & Income and Herald.

- Unilever ULVR.L said it has received an offer for its Unox, Zwan meat and soup brands from Zwanenberg Food Group.

- Britain's Thames Water will be allowed by water regulator Ofwat to increase customer bills by around 33% over the next five years, a far smaller increase than the troubled company had said was needed.

- Low-cost footwear retailer Shoe Zone has blamed additional costs from changes to wages, national insurance contributions (NICs) in October's budget and weakening consumer confidence for its decision to close stores.

- British defence secretary John Healey has opened the door to British troops being sent to Ukraine to help train the country's soldiers.

- Guardian Media Group $(GMG.AU)$ said that The Observer is to fall under the ownership of Tortoise Media in a binding deal signed after weeks of controversy about the fate of the world's oldest Sunday newspaper.

- Almost 60,000 homes across Hampshire are without water because of a "technical issue" at a Southern Water supply works, the company said.
