Ryde Group (RYDE) rallied Thursday, with shares of the mobility services company recently climbing almost 66%, after saying municipal officials in Singapore have renewed its license as a full ride-hailing and carpool operator for the next three years.

Trading volume for Ryde Group shares also was significantly higher than usual, with more than 1.1 million shares changing hands over the first hour of Thursday's trading session in the US compared with a daily average of just under 500,000 shares.
