Krispy Kreme Restores Online Ordering After Cyberattack

Krispy Kreme on Monday said it has fully restored online ordering following a cyberattack that disrupted online sales shortly before a big annual holiday promotion.

The Charlotte, N.C., doughnut maker said it is offering free delivery with a minimum $5 order through New Year's Day, along with a pair of promotional doughnut deals this week.

Krispy Kreme earlier this month said it discovered unauthorized activity in its network in late November that had disrupted online ordering, but said its physical stores weren't affected.

The company disclosed the hack a day before its annual "Day of the Dozens" promotion, when customers can receive a dozen free doughnuts when they buy a dozen.

Krispy Kreme has warned that costs related to the incident, including lost revenue from digital sales, would likely have a material impact on its financial results, but that it didn't expect a long-term material impact.
