VEON (VEON) said Monday its Ukrainian digital operator Kyivstar has signed a deal with SpaceX's Starlink to roll out direct-to-cell satellite connectivity in Ukraine.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Kyivstar intends to launch the service with SMS and OTT messaging functionality in Q4 next year, VEON added.
