0916 GMT - Semiconductor stocks in Asia and Europe are on the rise after Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. guided for robust sales growth this year on strong artificial-intelligence demand. Shares of the world's largest contract chip maker closed 3.8% higher in Taiwan. Shares of chip-making equipment supplier Tokyo Electron closed 3.9% higher in Japan, while South Korean memory-chip maker SK Hynix--which supplies Nvidia--gained nearly 6%. In Europe, shares of Dutch semiconductor-equipment maker ASML Holding are up 3.1%, with smaller rival ASM International gaining 3.6%. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
