Jan 14 (Reuters) - Coal miner Yancoal Australia on Tuesday said its chief executive officer David James Moult will be stepping down in July after seven years with the firm.

Ning Yue, the chair of the executive committee, will assume the role of interim CEO until a replacement is found.

Yue, who has over 20 years of experience in coal mining operations and management, is expected to ensure continuity and stability during the transition, the company said.

Moult, widely recognized for his five-year tenure as Yancoal's CEO, boasts an over-forty-year career in the mining and coal sectors. His leadership roles include membership in the Australian Institute of Company Directors and board positions at several companies.

Yancoal said Moult has chosen to retire from full-time employment, driven by his desire to allocate more time towards his other business commitments.
