LINE Digital Frontier, a Japanese subsidiary of WEBTOON Entertainment, invested in local manga and webcomic producer No. 9 Inc., WEBTOON Entertainment said in a Thursday press release.

WEBTOON Entertainment is a subsidiary of South Korean internet company Naver (KRX:035420).

Under the deal, LINE Digital Frontier will appoint an outside director to No. 9 Inc.'s board, fostering closer collaboration between the two entities, according to the release.
