Seacon Shipping Group (HKG:2409) unit Seacon Yokohama agreed to sell a 13,500dwt general cargo ship to Yuchen Logistics for US$19.9 million, a Thursday bourse filing said.

The vessel, named SEACON YOKOHAMA, is currently chartered to Seacon Yokohama under a bareboat charter from the owner of the vessel, an independent third party.

Seacon Yokohama will buy the vessel from the owner by exercising the purchase option under the bareboat charter by Dec. 31.

The shipping company will use proceeds from the disposal to finance the potential acquisition of vessels and as general working capital.
