Sembcorp Industries (SGX:U96) has signed two non-binding MOUs with the Government of Odisha in India to explore the development of a green hydrogen facility and an industrial park, according to a Friday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The agreements were made during Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam's state visit to India.
The green hydrogen plant, with a capacity of 720,000 metric tonnes annually, is expected to create over 2,000 jobs. Sembcorp will also assess the potential for an industrial park in Odisha.
