Jumbo Group's (SGX:42R) independent chairman, Tan Cher Liang, has retired by rotation after reaching the nine-year limit of his tenure in October 2024, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Friday.

Liang did not seek re-election to the board at the company's annual general meeting held on Jan. 24, the filing added.

The food and beverages company's shares were down 2% in recent trade.
