From what we can see, insiders were net buyers in Varex Imaging Corporation's (NASDAQ:VREX ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders acquired the stock in greater numbers than they sold it.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by CFO & Principal Accounting Officer Shubham Maheshwari for US$108k worth of shares, at about US$10.82 per share. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of US$14.23. What Might The Insider Transactions At Varex Imaging Tell Us?

The fact that there have been no Varex Imaging insider transactions recently certainly doesn't bother us. On a brighter note, the transactions over the last year are encouraging. While we have no worries about the insider transactions, we'd be more comfortable if they owned more Varex Imaging stock. While it's good to be aware of what's going on with the insider's ownership and transactions, we make sure to also consider what risks are facing a stock before making any investment decision.
