Washington | US President Donald Trump signed a series of executive orders on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) that remove diversity, equity and inclusion from the military, reinstate thousands of soldiers fired for refusing COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic, and moving to ban transgender troops.
Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, just days after his narrow confirmation vote, promised to roll back diversity programs, use the military to block migrants from entering the United States illegally and hold the Biden administration accountable for perceived foreign policy failures.
