BluGlass (ASX:BLG) filed three US provisional patents for high-peak-power continuous wave tunable gallium nitride lasers, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The patent applications cover high-power tunable lasers for use in three critical markets: aerospace, marine, and defense; quantum computing and quantum sensing; and biomedical and biotech applications, the filing said.
It also published its advanced results in a technical paper presented at an international conference, SPIE Photonics West. The paper demonstrates the breakthrough performance of an integrated master oscillator and power amplifier, achieving 750 megawatts of power in a single spatial mode.
The firm's shares rallied 13% in recent trade Wednesday.
