Berkeley Energia (ASX:BKY) intersected "shallow, thick zones" of lithium and rubidium mineralization following a reverse circulation and diamond drilling program at the Conchas project in western Spain, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Drill intercepts include 14 meters at 0.95% lithium oxide and 0.39% rubidium oxide from 40 meters.
The mineral explorer plans to conduct 3D modeling of the drilling data and complete the preliminary metallurgical test work program, per the filing.
Berkeley Energia's shares were up 9% in recent trade.
